Welcome to the Shoulder Of Mutton
A delightful 18th century village pub in Stretton on Dunsmore
Come and visit us for a welcome moment to relax with a great pint of real ale, chat with friends old and new or perhaps enjoy a delicious homecooked meal.
At the Shoulder of Mutton we'll do our best to ensure you have a great time, be it relaxing or having a bit of fun testing the old grey matter in our monthly Thursday quiz.
We are what you would describe as a quaint, rustic and cosy pub, central to a village steeped in local history as one of the few places in the world to appear in the Doomsday book. With a real, roaring log fire for those cold winter months and authentic beamed ceiling, relax in our 'snug' and chat to our friendly staff or sit back and enjoy our smooth music selection. In the summer months our large beer garden is awash with the sound of idle chatter and laughter and we welcome you to join in! For the odd special occasion why not come and check out our live entertainment act, or even suggest one to us on the community notice board of this website.
For those looking for somewhere to enjoy a good quality dinner, our highly trained chef is always cooking up a treat. Using local produce and freshly preparing it, you'll appreciate both the taste and the quality. We serve smaller portions for those with less of an appetite but who still want a great choice. Perhaps a sharing platter would make a nice change; whatever you fancy you're sure to find something suitable for all the family - just check out our menus. Don't forget to keep an eye out on the website for special events, or once registered, for special deals, some of which will only appear around the date of your birthday. Print out the vouchers and reap the benefits!!
